The HL 722MRB-20 represents Heartland’s 2020 model — a continuation of the brand’s legacy of introducing innovative fishing methods to the bass fishing world through unique creative vision.

Based on the second-generation “Dot Three (…)", which embodied Haruhiko Murakami’s bait finesse philosophy under the Soft Hayate concept and specialized in 1/4 oz class rubber jigs, this rod has been reimagined for the modern era.

Created by Haruhiko Murakami, the pioneer who first brought the small rubber jig (Smoraba) to the fishing world, the rod integrates DAIWA’s cutting-edge technology under the PE PERFORMANCE concept to realize a truly modern Smoraba rod.

Compared to the second-generation Dot Three, it features enhanced long-distance casting performance and extended stroke control. Built with a tubular Power Slim blank in a center-cut two-piece construction, it incorporates Heartland’s traditional Hera joint and V-Joint, producing a beautiful Murakami-style bending curve that rivals that of a one-piece rod.
