While the 21 Lightning 66 uses SVF glass for a soft tip, the SC Lightning 64 employs low-modulus carbon to achieve versatile handling of hard baits—something impossible with glass—making it a hard-bait versatile rod for shore competition.
The blank combines a slim, thick-wall design made primarily from low-modulus carbon with SVF’s Toreca® M46X for reinforcement, creating a unique and unmatched blank.
Incorporating a “h-shaped taper” in the tip allows slack-line retrieves with wire baits, impossible with a soft tip, while the tip responds to the continuous vibration of crankbaits, delivering both smooth winding and effective slack-line control.
For action-based hard baits like poppers and jerkbaits, the “h-shaped” tip enhances lure action, evolving the rod into a truly versatile hard-bait tool.
