The long-awaited STEEZ SC prototype by Koutarou Kawamura, which recently dominated the top stage determining the shore king, is now complete. Nearly all of the decisive tools he relied on for victory are incorporated into this single rod. The new SC model is a versatile bait rod, the successor to the 16SC FIRE WOLF.
Driven by a growing desire for greater versatility, the core of Kawamura’s Shore Competition series has achieved a revolutionary evolution.
"A full model change in just five years was not something I initially desired. I struggled daily with the idea of disappointing anglers, but it became absolutely necessary. Field conditions have dramatically changed, and simultaneously, DAIWA’s technological advancements have been remarkable. Both changes were too significant to ignore."
Through the development of the 21SC FIRE FLASH, Kawamura discovered “the potential of solid tips”. Building on that experience, his desire for the next level of versatile performance became clear.
"Considering all the factors, this is the versatile bait rod I seek today. My fishing style evolved, and what I demand from a rod evolved with it. I increasingly wanted one rod capable of handling all types of lures."
While maintaining excellent sensitivity and control for traditional worming, numerous versatile capabilities were added.
