Shimano Dyna Dart XR

The Dyna Dart XR is a specialized shore rod series developed for wind-style fishing, where repeated sharp jerks make darting lures trigger aggressive reaction bites. Designed for targets ranging from hairtail to pelagic fish, flatfish and rockfish, the series combines Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X blank construction with X Guide to improve lightness, rigidity, casting performance and lure control.

Compared with the standard Dyna Dart, the XR adopts a Regular-Fast taper that retains cushioning while providing a sharper response for precise, fine darting actions. Its lightweight construction also allows longer rod lengths without excessive weight, helping increase casting distance and control at range.

S90M and S90MH are 9-foot long-stroke models suited to high breakwaters, surf wading and long-distance presentations, while S83ML and S83M+ cover technical to all-round wind applications. S70L-S and B70L-S feature Shimano's High Response Solid tip, combining responsive lure manipulation with cushioning around the bite; B70L-S is the series' dedicated bait-finesse wind model.

Spinning models use a semi-long front grip and a flat-top rear grip designed to improve comfort and stability during repeated jerking. Technologies include Spiral X Core, X Guide, Hi-Power X and CI4+, with High Response Solid fitted to S70L-S and B70L-S.
