Tenryu BRIGADE Flip TR Series: A Comprehensive Overview

The Tenryu BRIGADE Flip TR Series is a versatile lineup of rods designed for offshore light game fishing, catering to anglers who pursue various species such as squid, cuttlefish, cutlass fish, horse mackerel, and rockfish. These rods maximize the potential of Eging rods, making them ideal for Tip-Run Eging, IKA-metal fishing, deep Ajing, and light tackle metal jigging.

Rod Concept: Utility Tip-Run Model

The BRIGADE Flip TR series is created with the aim of maximizing the abilities of Eging rods in offshore environments. Whether you’re playing with light tackle for squid or engaging in deep Ajing or metal jigging, this series offers a broad range of fishing styles. Its flexible design allows you to adapt your approach based on the target species and fishing conditions, making it a highly versatile rod for offshore fishing.

1. Blanks and Construction:

   • The rods are constructed to minimize shaking in the blanks, ensuring quick and easy detection of bites. The Magna-Flex method and sensitive carbon solid tip contribute to smooth bending action under load, allowing for better control during fishing.
   • Carbon Nano Tube (C.N.T) material adds resilience to the butt section, providing the necessary strength without compromising flexibility. Additionally, the rods feature the distinct NISHIJIN textile at the joint section for added durability and aesthetic appeal.

2. Guides:

   • The LDB guide at the tip section and K guides from the belly to the butt part help reduce line tangling and ensure smooth line movement.
   • The guides are made from stainless steel with SIC rings, designed for optimum performance. It's important to use the recommended line specifications to avoid trouble during fishing.

3. Reel Seat:

   • The reel seat and fore grip are crafted with NISHIJIN textile, providing a comfortable grip while adding a unique design element to the rods.

4. Design:

   • The top section is colored with threads for easy visibility, and the blanks are painted in silver, making it easy to observe rod movements during fishing.

5. Casting and Handling:

   • The ultra-sensitive tip requires anglers to use a slow or soft casting style, such as the "underhand cast," to prevent damage. The rod is built for subtle movements rather than forceful jerking, making it ideal for finesse techniques.
   • When landing fish, avoid bending the tip too much. It is recommended to use a landing net or squid gaff for safety.

1. BFT5112S-MLS (Finesse Model):

   • Target: This model is designed for shallow areas and tough conditions. It is ideal for controlling 20g-35g EGI in depths of 10m-30m.
   • Use: Perfect for slow boat drift situations, it allows you to detect subtle bites from squid in shallow waters or low-tide conditions. The rod’s length and sensitive tip are optimized for handling vertical Ajing, light IKA-metal fishing, and super light jigging (10-25g jigs).
   • Recommended Line: PE line under 0.8, leader under 12lbs.

2. BFT672S-MS (Versatile Model):

   • Target: This model covers a wide range, from shallow to deep areas, handling 25g-40g EGI in 20m-40m depths.
   • Use: Ideal for use on large boats, the rod minimizes the effects of boat shaking and enhances bite detection. It can also handle casting for wide-area searches under calm conditions and is suitable for IKA-metal fishing (up to 56g), deep Ajing, and light jigging (10-40g jigs).
   • Recommended Line: PE line under 1.0, leader under 12lbs.

3. BFT632S-MHS (Powerful Model):

   • Target: Designed for deep areas and large squid, this model can manage 30g-50g EGI in 20m-50m depths and handle heavy currents or large catches.
   • Use: The sensitive tip detects small bites in deep waters, while the powerful butt section helps tackle heavy currents and larger targets. It is also effective for super light jigging with metal jigs weighing 20-60g.

The Tenryu BRIGADE Flip TR Series offers a wide range of features that make it the ideal choice for offshore anglers looking for versatility and precision. From finesse fishing in shallow waters to powerful jigging in deep currents, this series delivers outstanding performance across various fishing techniques. With its advanced materials, sensitive tips, and durable design, the BRIGADE Flip TR Series is perfect for anglers seeking to elevate their offshore fishing experience.
