ZILLION TW HD
The DAIWA ZILLION TW HD series is a high-power low-profile baitcasting reel engineered for anglers who demand exceptional durability, long-distance casting performance, and powerful retrieve capability for heavy-duty lure fishing applications. Designed as a specialized heavy-duty evolution of the ZILLION platform, the ZILLION TW HD combines advanced Japanese engineering, reinforced internal construction, and highly refined casting technology for aggressive freshwater and light saltwater fishing environments.
At the center of the ZILLION TW HD is the advanced DAIWA HYPERDRIVE DESIGN concept. This next-generation engineering platform focuses on improving long-term rotational smoothness, gear durability, winding efficiency, and overall reliability under heavy load conditions. The reel is specifically developed to maintain its refined performance characteristics even after prolonged heavy use.
The reel incorporates the latest HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR system using oversized high-strength brass drive gears combined with highly corrosion-resistant pinion gear materials. This reinforced gear construction delivers exceptionally powerful torque transmission and remarkably smooth winding feel during high-load retrieves. Even when handling large lures, heavy cover, or powerful fish, the reel maintains stable and highly connected rotational performance.
To further improve retrieve stability and power efficiency, the ZILLION TW HD utilizes HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT technology. By supporting the pinion gear with bearings on both ends, friction and power loss are significantly reduced during retrieve. This creates an extremely smooth and powerful winding sensation while increasing long-term gear durability.
The HYPER ARMED HOUSING FULL AL construction uses a full aluminum body, side plate, and frame design to achieve exceptional rigidity and structural strength. One of the defining characteristics of the ZILLION TW HD is its newly developed 34mm G1 Duralumin MAG-Z BOOST spool. Designed specifically for long-distance casting and heavier lure applications, the spool combines extremely high precision with excellent lightweight characteristics. The MAG-Z BOOST braking system creates powerful initial spool control while allowing the lure to maintain extended casting trajectory during mid-flight, resulting in exceptional casting distance and stable casting control.
The reel also features the DAIWA TWS T-Wing System. During casting, the enlarged T-shaped line guide dramatically reduces line friction and improves line release efficiency. This helps maximize casting distance, improve lure trajectory stability, and reduce backlash risk. During retrieve, the lower guide section ensures even line distribution across the spool.
The ZERO SHAFT spool support concept minimizes unnecessary mechanical resistance by allowing the spool to be supported only by precision bearings.
