Large-Diameter Fixed Guide

A large fixed butt guide overcomes the ring-diameter limitations common to conventional telescopic long-cast rods. Its larger opening is better suited to heavy line and promotes smoother line flow from high-capacity reels.

Spiral X Core

Spiral X Core uses Shimano’s proprietary design and manufacturing methods to increase strength against bending, twisting and compression. It builds on the Spiral X structure with high-strength resin carbon tape made using Nanoalloy® technology. Compared with a conventional blank structure, it delivers 1.4 times greater torsional strength and 2.5 times greater crush strength. Compared with Spiral X, torsional strength is increased by 10% and crush strength by 15% (Shimano internal comparisons). Nanoalloy® is a registered trademark of Toray Industries, Inc.

Hi-Power X

Hi-Power X further suppresses blank twist during casting and fighting. Carbon tape is wrapped in an X pattern around the outermost layer of Spiral X or over a cross-laid carbon-sheet structure, helping the rod bend in the direction intended by the angler and allowing the blank to perform to its full potential.

Hi-Power X reduce aún más la torsión del blank durante el lance y el combate. Parabola Tune refines the joints between sections to eliminate abrupt changes in rigidity while maintaining strength, producing smooth power and action comparable to a one-piece rod. Developed for ISO rods, Parabola Tune R optimizes blank wall thickness around each joint so the entire rod bends progressively. Parabola Tune R+ also refines the taper relationship between adjacent sections, allowing the bending fulcrum to transition even more smoothly.

Rod Belt Instructions: When the rod is stored, use the supplied belt to secure the butt section and the section immediately above it, helping prevent the sections from dropping or becoming damaged. Fasten one side of the U-shaped hook-and-loop belt firmly around the butt section and the other around the section above. Do not place the belt over the thread wrap of the fixed guide, as this may reduce holding strength. Attach the belt only after every section has been fully collapsed. Do not shake or swing the stored rod by either the rod body or the belt, as the belt may detach and the rod may be damaged.
