DAIWA TOURNAMENT SURF 45

Developed for demanding surf-casting competition, the DAIWA TOURNAMENT SURF 45 combines a 45 mm long-stroke platform and dedicated LC spool with a rigid, lightweight ZAION housing. An aluminium machine-cut TOUGH DIGIGEAR delivers torque-rich, smooth winding, while three retrieve profiles support different tactical priorities.

MAGSEALED protection across the body, line roller and bearing system helps preserve performance against saltwater, sand and foreign matter. AIR ROTOR, AIR BAIL, Cross Wrap, Twist Buster II and an 85 mm folding machine-cut handle complete a focused surf reel built for casting distance, rotational precision and durability.

TOURNAMENT SURF 45 was developed from the reel form outward to meet the severe demands of competitive surf casting.

Its 45 mm stroke supports presentations from middle range to extreme distance, while a rigid ZAION housing, machine-cut aluminium TOUGH DIGIGEAR and protected rotating system translate terrain changes with stable, smooth response.

Product Overview

A purpose-built 45 mm surf-casting platform.

A dedicated LC spool design pursues controlled line release across different taper angles, while the 45 mm stroke provides broad range coverage for competitive Japanese whiting fishing.

ZAION construction combines low weight with structural strength. At the drive, an aluminium machine-cut TOUGH DIGIGEAR maintains torque and refined rotation under load; AIR ROTOR and the one-piece AIR BAIL support light, responsive winding.

MAGSEALED protection is applied to the body, line roller and ball bearing areas that face saltwater, sand and line-carried moisture.

Three retrieve profiles

HG 05PE prioritizes fast 88 cm recovery and fine PE capacity. The 06PE balances speed and torque at 79 cm, while LG 06PE uses a 3.5 gear ratio and 68 cm retrieve for the most torque-oriented winding profile.

Important: Line capacity is approximate and varies with manufacturer, line product and winding tension. Retrieve per crank is measured with one complete handle rotation.
