X Guide Micro

A lightweight-focused version of the strong, lightweight X Guide 3D Titanium designed to reduce line tangles. Compared with the same-size X Guide 3D Titanium, it reduces weight by 40% while increasing the inner diameter by 8%. The significantly reduced guide weight makes the rod feel exceptionally light during the swing, while allowing the blank to recover quickly and smoothly after the cast. It also helps preserve the blank's inherent performance and further enhances sensitivity. Despite its compact design, the larger inner diameter provides excellent line flow, helping reduce line trouble and improving the control of lightweight rigs.

Shimano's proprietary design and manufacturing technology is used to pursue greater strength against loads from every direction, including bending, twisting, and crushing. Built upon Shimano's original Spiral X basic structure, which enhances rod performance from within, Spiral X Core incorporates carbon tape made with high-strength resin developed through Nanoalloy® technology. Compared with conventional structures, it achieves 1.4 times the torsional strength and 2.5 times the crush strength (Shimano's internal comparison). Compared with Spiral X, it also provides a 10% increase in torsional strength and a 15% increase in crush strength (Shimano's internal comparison). *Nanoalloy® is a registered trademark of Toray Industries, Inc.

Hi-Power X

A reinforced structure designed to further suppress twisting generated during casting and fighting fish. Carbon tape is wrapped in an X-shaped pattern over the outermost layer of Spiral X or over the vertical and horizontal carbon-sheet structure. This helps maintain the intended direction of the rod's bend, allowing the blank to deliver its inherent performance to the fullest.

The newly developed Taftec ∞ achieves three times the winding strength and five times the winding capacity of a conventional solid tip (Shimano's internal comparison). It is a high-strength solid tip designed to surpass the already strong Taftec α.
