The DAIWA ANALYSTAR KAWAHAGI series is engineered specifically for the highly technical Kawahagi (filefish) fishing style, where detecting ultra-light bites and executing precise hook-setting are essential. Kawahagi are known for their rapid pecking bites and bait-stealing behavior, making the high-response sensitive tip crucial for sensing even the slightest vibration.

The rod’s mid-to-butt section delivers firm and controlled backbone strength, enabling quick, accurate hook-setting and maintaining stable tension during the fight. Its finely tuned taper supports specialized Kawahagi techniques including subtle rod lifts, delicate bait presentation, bottom-touch sensing, and vertical precision jigging movements. The lightweight and well-balanced blank reduces fatigue during constant rod work and repetitive jigging.

Equipped with FUJI® high-durability guides, the KAWAHAGI series ensures smooth line flow and excellent abrasion resistance when using PE braided or monofilament lines. The ergonomic handle provides exceptional grip stability, enhancing fine-control performance needed for bite detection and rapid lifting motions.

Ideal for Kawahagi and compatible with a range of finesse bottom game approaches, this rod combines extreme sensitivity, precise operability, and solid lifting power. The DAIWA ANALYSTAR KAWAHAGI series is the perfect tool for anglers seeking top-level performance in competitive-style filefish fishing.
