Shimano Bioimpact Hirame

Shimano Bioimpact Hirame is a high-performance dedicated boat rod series developed for traditional live-bait Hirame fishing. The blank is reinforced with Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X to deliver sharp handling together with the butt power needed to control large Hirame.

Its Softube Top uses a specially designed lightweight tubular structure that combines high sensitivity and transmission with solid-tip-like flexibility. The tip follows the movement of live sardine bait naturally, clearly expresses everything from preliminary touches to committed bites, and helps Hirame take the bait without resistance.

The Carbon Monocoque Grip amplifies vibrations that may not be visible through tip movement, transmitting information about bottom composition, current, bait behavior and fish activity through the hand, arm and underarm contact points. The X Seat Technical Gun Grip combines a universal left/right gun-grip shape with a front trigger, allowing stable palming and precise rod manipulation with minimal effort.

It accommodates different hand sizes and both right- and left-hand retrieve reels. X Guide 3D Titanium and titanium-frame SiC guides contribute to a lightweight, responsive configuration.

The 64M270 features a 6:4 action focused on natural bait presentation and bite acceptance. Its flexible mid-section stabilizes the rig even in rough conditions while retaining enough butt power for large Hirame.

The 73 MH270 uses a sharper 7:3 action suited to drift fishing, deeper water and rough-bottom areas, providing firm rig control when the sinker is pulled beneath the boat and strong butt power for lifting large fish from the bottom. Both models use a center-cut two-piece design and incorporate Shimano technologies including Spiral X Core, X Guide, X Seat, Carbon Monocoque Grip, Hi-Power X, Softube Top and CI4+.
