Shimano Bioimpact Light Hirame

Shimano Bioimpact Light Hirame is a high-performance dedicated boat rod series designed to take light Hirame fishing to a new level of sensitivity and control. The blank is reinforced with Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X, combining sharp handling with the butt power needed to handle large Hirame.

Its Softube Top uses a specially engineered lightweight tubular construction that retains the low weight and excellent transmission of a tubular tip while adding solid-tip-like flexibility. This highly sensitive tip transmits subtle changes in bottom composition, live sardine movement and even the faintest signs of a Hirame, while its supple response helps the fish take the bait naturally.

The hollow, one-piece Carbon Monocoque Grip further enhances vibration transmission through the hand, arm and underarm contact points, providing another layer of sensitivity beyond visual and hand feedback. The X Seat Technical Gun Grip is designed for comfortable and stable operation with either hand.

Its ambidextrous gun-grip shape reduces wrist strain, while the front trigger allows precise rod manipulation with minimal gripping force and supports secure palming across a wide range of reel sizes. X Guide 3D Titanium and titanium-frame SiC guides contribute to the lightweight, sensitive configuration.

The unconventional three-piece construction improves portability while maintaining the performance required for hand-held Light Hirame fishing. The 64 225 features a 6:4 action developed for sensitivity and bite acceptance.

Its progressive bend lets anglers detect live-bait movement and the presence of Hirame while enjoying the fight with a deeply flexing blank. The 73 235 uses a sharper 7:3 action for responsive rig control and all-round versatility, including drift fishing.
