EMERALDAS X IKAMETAL

The DAIWA EMERALDAS X IKAMETAL series is specifically engineered for ikametal fishing – a refined technique for targeting squid in deep or mid-depth waters. Designed for both beginners and intermediate anglers, this rod combines ease of handling, affordability, and high performance in one package. Its lightweight build and well-balanced action make it ideal for detecting subtle bites during vertical jigging.

Built with HVF carbon blanks, the rod delivers excellent sensitivity and strength while maintaining a comfortable weight. The X45 construction minimizes blank twist, improving accuracy and control during jigging. In addition, MEGATOP solid tips are used on certain models, providing ultra-high sensitivity to detect even the most delicate squid touches in deep water.

Featuring Seaguide stainless steel frame SiC guides, the rod ensures smooth line flow and durability, making it compatible with PE lines used in squid fishing. The grip design promotes secure handling and reduces fatigue, supporting long hours of jigging from boats.

Whether you're drifting, anchoring, or exploring deep zones at night, the EMERALDAS X IKAMETAL provides an accessible and efficient entry into the world of technical squid fishing.
