Shimano Grappler Type C Baitcasting

Shimano Grappler Type C Baitcasting is a dedicated offshore baitcasting rod series designed to combine accurate casting, stable retrieves, direct linear control and powerful fish-fighting performance. The blanks feature Spiral X and Hi-Power X to suppress unwanted vibration and twisting while improving strength, power and responsiveness.

Their smooth bending characteristics reduce abrupt acceleration and deceleration during the cast, helping reduce the risk of backlash, while slightly softer tips provide an action well suited to retrieve-oriented fishing. The four-model lineup covers light to medium offshore games commonly using approximately PE 2-4 line and targets species such as yellowtail, amberjack, dolphinfish, bonito and Spanish mackerel.

B70L is a short and light model for 20-60 g lures and precise underhand or side casting. B73ML offers versatile medium-light power for multiple casting styles and a broad range of pelagic species.

B710ML combines medium-light power with extra length for longer-range approaches from larger boats or the bow. B80M is the longest and most powerful model, designed to cast 40-100 g lures toward larger pelagic fish.
