LUXXE EG X Series Rod
The LUXXE EG X series is a next-generation premium eging rod developed for anglers who demand lightweight handling, exceptional sensitivity, and precise squid control in modern Japanese eging techniques. Designed by Gamakatsu’s LUXXE division, this series combines advanced blank technology with refined balance to create a highly responsive and technically capable squid fishing rod.
The blank utilizes TORAYCA T1100G high-modulus carbon as its primary material, combined with additional high-elasticity carbon reinforcement to achieve outstanding lightness, crisp response, and excellent casting performance. This structure allows the rod to feel extremely sharp and direct during jerking and lure manipulation while maintaining excellent lifting power.
One of the defining features of the EG X series is its advanced sensitivity-focused design. The rod clearly transmits underwater information such as current flow, bottom contact, squid touch pressure, and lure movement directly into the angler’s hand.
The series includes both tubular-tip and solid-tip models to match a wide range of fishing styles and conditions. Tubular models provide crisp response and aggressive lure action, while solid-tip models deliver superior bite detection and excellent control during tension-fall techniques.
The lightweight “Resound Grip” hollow reel seat structure significantly reduces weight while improving vibration transmission throughout the rod. This design enhances long-term comfort and sensitivity during extended fishing sessions.
The guide system combines lightweight LDB guides in the tip and belly sections with Fuji K-guides equipped with Torzite rings in the butt section. This setup minimizes line trouble during casting and jerking while preserving the blank’s ultra-sensitive characteristics.
The rod action is optimized for a variety of modern eging techniques including slack jerking, tension fall, drifting, shallow finesse fishing, and deep-water squid approaches.
