Shimano Realancer Light Hirame is a dedicated boat rod series designed to enhance the sensitivity and active style of Light Hirame fishing. Its Taftec Infinity high-sensitivity carbon solid tip transmits detailed information ranging from bottom composition and the swimming behavior of live sardine bait to subtle preliminary bites and the final take. The tip combines high hand sensitivity with supple bite acceptance and responsive performance during active presentations and hook-setting. Spiral X Core reinforces the blank to provide sharp handling even when drifting sideways in strong winds, while maintaining the butt power required to lift large Hirame. The X Seat Extreme Gun Grip uses dedicated RIGHT and LEFT configurations with a large palm contact area for secure holding. Shimano's comparative testing reports a 30% reduction in reeling wobble and up to a 45% reduction in palming load, helping reduce fatigue when continuously supporting and retrieving rigs with Sinker Size 40-80. The grip provides high palming performance with both baitcasting and compact electric reels. The 64 M225 models use a bite-oriented 6:4 action that stabilizes the rig even when the boat is moving in rough conditions, helping less-active Hirame take the bait naturally. They are suitable for sideways drifting and also provide enhanced sensitivity and flexibility when fishing pinpoint areas with the main line kept more vertical. The 73 M230 models feature a sharper and more maneuverable 7:3 action. They respond efficiently when avoiding reefs and rocky structure, resetting fishing depth, handling strong winter winds and fast currents, or when the main line runs beneath the boat during sideways drifting. Their 230 cm length provides additional room for feeding the bait and hook-setting without sacrificing the lightweight feel of the tackle. RIGHT models are designed for right-hand retrieve baitcasting and electric reels, while LEFT models are designed for left-hand retrieve reels.
