SALTIGA C EXPEDITION
The DAIWA SALTIGA C EXPEDITION series is a premium offshore multi-piece casting rod lineup developed for anglers targeting giant game fish around the world. Designed specifically for international travel, expedition fishing, and extreme offshore casting applications, the SALTIGA C EXPEDITION combines portability, advanced blank technology, and uncompromising fighting power in a highly refined travel rod platform.
Built upon the legendary SALTIGA offshore concept, this series was engineered for anglers pursuing trophy-class species including GT, tuna, amberjack, dogtooth tuna, yellowfin tuna, and other powerful saltwater predators. The rods are capable of handling intense pressure situations while maintaining smooth casting performance and precise lure control during demanding offshore sessions.
One of the defining characteristics of the SALTIGA C EXPEDITION series is its advanced 3-piece construction. Despite the travel-oriented design, the rods maintain exceptionally natural bending characteristics and high blank integrity comparable to traditional one-piece offshore rods. The compact transport length under 90 cm makes the series highly suitable for airline travel, international fishing expeditions, offshore charters, and remote destination fishing.
The blank utilizes DAIWA HVF NANOPLUS carbon construction technology, which increases carbon fiber density while reducing unnecessary resin content. This construction produces exceptional strength, torque resistance, lightweight handling, and improved blank recovery speed. The rods deliver powerful lifting strength while maintaining reduced overall fatigue during prolonged casting sessions.
The series also incorporates DAIWA X45 Full Shield technology, designed to significantly reduce blank twisting during casting, lure manipulation, hook setting, and high-pressure fighting situations. This advanced carbon reinforcement structure improves casting accuracy, stabilizes rod action, and allows anglers to maximize the rod’s full performance potential even under heavy drag pressure.
To further improve structural strength and seamless bending transition, the rods feature the advanced V-JOINT Alpha system. By combining precision joint processing with high-strength nano-alloy materials, the connection areas achieve improved durability, smoother power transfer, and more natural rod curvature throughout the entire blank.
The premium offshore guide system is optimized for heavy braided line applications and long-distance casting performance. RV guides are utilized in the butt section to improve line release efficiency and reduce casting resistance, while durable stainless-steel guides throughout the remaining sections provide excellent reliability under heavy offshore use.
The SALTIGA C EXPEDITION series also features the ergonomic ZERO Seat Power Hold reel seat system. This specialized reel seat supports multiple grip positions during casting and retrieving, allowing anglers to maintain maximum casting leverage, improved lure control, and superior comfort during extended fishing sessions.
The grip design is optimized for aggressive offshore fighting applications. The foregrip incorporates a secure anti-slip profile that improves control during high drag pressure, while the rear grip and grip end design support stable body-contact fighting techniques even when targeting extremely powerful fish species.
The rod series performs exceptionally well with stickbaits, poppers, large plugs, offshore casting lures, and heavy topwater applications. Depending on the selected model, anglers can confidently target giant trevally, tuna, kingfish, amberjack, reef predators, and various large pelagic species in both tropical and temperate saltwater environments.
Designed for serious anglers who travel globally in search of trophy fish, the SALTIGA C EXPEDITION represents the highest level of portable offshore rod engineering. Combining extreme power, refined casting ability, advanced carbon technology, and expedition-ready portability, this series delivers professional-grade offshore performance without compromise.
