STEEZ A II TW
The DAIWA STEEZ A II TW series is a premium low-profile baitcasting reel developed for anglers who require exceptional rigidity, refined casting performance, powerful retrieve capability, and advanced versatility for demanding bass fishing techniques. Built around DAIWA’s latest HYPERDRIVE DESIGN platform, the STEEZ A II TW combines lightweight handling with high-strength construction for both freshwater and light saltwater applications.
Compared with the original STEEZ platform, the STEEZ A II TW adopts a highly rigid aluminum body and side plate structure designed to provide superior strength and stability under heavy load conditions. The reel maintains excellent alignment of internal components during aggressive hooksets, high-pressure retrieves, and repeated casting situations, while still preserving the compact ergonomic profile that defines the STEEZ series.
The reel incorporates DAIWA HYPERDRIVE DESIGN technology focused on improving rotational smoothness, winding efficiency, and long-term durability. At the core of the system is HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR, featuring enlarged and strengthened brass gear construction for smoother engagement and highly efficient power transfer. Even under heavy fishing pressure, the reel maintains stable and refined retrieve performance with minimal rotational resistance.
To further improve precision and rotational stability, the STEEZ A II TW utilizes HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT technology. Bearings positioned on both ends of the pinion gear reduce friction and support smoother gear contact during retrieve. This system creates an exceptionally connected winding feel with excellent consistency during high-speed techniques and heavy lure presentations.
The HYPER ARMED HOUSING aluminum frame greatly increases overall body rigidity while minimizing flex during demanding fishing situations. One of the major features of the STEEZ A II TW series is the advanced MAG-Z BOOST braking system. This highly refined magnetic braking system controls spool rotation efficiently during both the initial acceleration and final stages of the cast. The result is improved casting distance, excellent backlash control, and stable lure flight performance across a wide variety of lure weights and fishing techniques.
The lightweight spool design offers fast startup with reduced inertia, helping anglers cast lightweight lures with impressive control while still maintaining strong performance with heavier presentations. The spool works together with DAIWA ZERO SHAFT and ZERO ADJUSTER concepts to reduce unnecessary friction and optimize casting performance directly from factory settings.
The TWS T-Wing System significantly improves line flow efficiency during casting by reducing line friction through the enlarged T-shaped aperture. During retrieve, the lower guide section maintains even line distribution across the spool, improving line management and consistency.
The STEEZ A II TW is available in multiple gear ratios including standard, high-speed, and extra-high-speed models. Right-hand and left-hand retrieve configurations are also available, allowing anglers to choose the ideal setup for different fishing styles and techniques.
