This rod represents Heartland’s answer to the question: What would a truly all-around versatile rod usable nationwide look like?
Maintaining the same taper balance as the highly acclaimed Hayate, Shiro Hayate, and Hayate MH, the power has been slightly reduced, and the taper design changed from a tubular Power Slim to a fast taper. For the first time in the Heartland lineup, HVF Nanoplus has been adopted as the main material, giving the blank a distinct feel compared to traditional HVF carbon Power Slim rods.
Fully armed with X45 (to suppress twisting) and 3DX (for rapid recovery and structural reinforcement), the blank feels light in hand yet delivers a firm, reassuring solidity. During casting and hooking, X45 minimizes power loss due to twisting, while 3DX provides a supportive effect that improves long-distance casting performance.
The taper design by Haruhiko Murakami and the Heartland team showcases Murakami’s signature smooth bending curve that flows seamlessly from tip to butt. Every element of this rod was crafted with the utmost attention to allowing lures to perform precisely, accurately, and exactly as intended.
