Its thick, robust blank primarily uses supple and resilient UD glass material, combined with lightweight, high-strength carbon reinforcement in the heavily loaded butt section. Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X further reinforce the structure against twisting and deformation while allowing the rod to bend deeply and smoothly under load. The flexible tip transmits subtle movements of the live bait without unnecessarily weakening it and encourages natural bites, while the belly and butt provide reliable hooking power and the strength required to control large fish. The M through H power lineup covers a wide range of targets and techniques, including live-bait fishing for yellowfin tuna around offshore FADs and powerful bottom-oriented species such as grouper, Hiramasa and greater amberjack around reefs. An original Shimano aluminum reel seat firmly secures large reels using flat reel-foot contact surfaces, resin cushioning and cushioned double locking nuts. Additional heavy-duty features include an EVA hold position for secure rod-holder mounting, an easy-to-grip EVA front grip, double-wrapped stainless-steel frame SiC guides, a gimbal butt and a large fighting bottom that helps distribute pressure during powerful fights. M165 is a short M-power model designed for comfortable fights by allowing the rod to bend deeply. MH175 is an all-round model that absorbs the power of fast-running fish through the rod. H170 combines power and resilient bending strength to stop giant fish attempting to reach reef structure.
