The HL 722ML+FB-ST20 represents Heartland’s 2020 model — a rod born from the brand’s tradition of introducing innovative fishing styles to the bass fishing world through unique ideas and creative design.

Developed by Haruhiko Murakami, the originator who first introduced the small rubber jig (Smoraba) as a distinct fishing method, this rod embodies his modern bait finesse style under the PE PERFORMANCE concept, utilizing DAIWA’s most advanced technologies.

It features a stiffer, high-elasticity MegaTop solid tip paired with a slim yet thick-walled tubular Power Slim blank, enabling true “Fuwa fishing” (delicate, weightless finesse presentation) within a bait finesse setup — something never before achieved in the Heartland lineup.

The result is a rod with a completely new feel for Heartland, beautifully combining the seemingly opposite qualities of soft sensitivity and firm strength into one perfectly balanced design.
